From The
President:
It is my time to become the
Past President of the Dodge Brothers Car
Club. My humble hope is that my approval rate exceeds the other fellow
that is about to be a Past President.
October, 2008 also marks the twenty fifth anniversary of our Club and a
hope for many more ahead. I found the October/November 2004 issue of the
Magazine to review the parting words of then President Harry Reding. At
this point, I enter a plea of modest plagiarism, which is also my tribute
to the sage words offered then by Harry.
We made fair progress in the last four years, but "the Presidential Job
Jar" offered to the next president and other Directors is full. It
offers all members to be the architects and design the Club's future
through their thoughts and actions.
We owe a BIG THANK YOU to the good people who came together 25 years ago
to give us this great organization and the camaraderie with good friends
and truly great cars. It seems clear that the current membership still
has original objectives of the founders in play, the care and long term
feeding of Dodge Brothers and Graham Brothers vehicles.
Donna and I have had a wonderful experience and an occasional challenge
working with a range of Directors and numerous members from around the
world.
We do look forward to the slower pace of Past President and his lady, but
will enthusiastically bust our bottoms to support the Club's needs.
Thanks to everyone involved in our Club and hobby for your time,
patience and guidance.
See you all in Oregon in
2009.
Gerry and Donna
