Results from the Which year Dodge do you have - survey
Posted by dbcadmin on: Wednesday 27 October @ 14:45:12 |
We had 476 people respond to the question: "Which year Dodge do you have?" The poll is still accessible on the right side of the page by clicking others surveys. I'm not sure if this is a true reflection of the club cars as only a small percentage participated Pre- 1920 10.50 % (50) 1920-1925 23.53 % (112) 1926-1930 27.94 % (133) 1931-1935 13.87 % (66) 1936 + 24.16 % (115)

Old Dodge Brothers Ammeter Posted by dbcadmin on: Tuesday 05 August @ 10:46:46 |
Anonymous writes"Hello All,
I have an old ammeter in a circular cylindrical housing as described below:
Bezel O.D.: 2 3/16"
Bezel I.D.: 1 3/4"
Flat glass (?) crystal
Case depth overall: 1 1/16"
Two #10 studs project from the rear of the case: 1 1/4 +/-1 1/16"
Each stud has an insulator at its base.
One stud has a hex nut also.
Stud separation: 1 9/32", nominally
Two round, staight slot headed retaining screws each with a split ring lock washer.
The bezel and housing/case are not dented, but they could use refininshing/restoration, as could the fasteners.
The movement is free, responding to the slightest jiggle and to a magnet, but I haven't tested it electrically.
The dial is like this:
______________________________________________________________________
DISCHARGE CHARGE (in a negative arc)
|'''|'''|'''|'''|'''|'''| (in a negative arc)
12 8 4 0 4 8 12 (in a negative arc)
AMPERES (straight)
DODGE BROTHERS (straight; bold, block letters)
White indicator with an "arrow head" tip, and pivoted about 7/16" below the center of the meter
In a round label below the above:
NATIONAL GAUGE and EQPT. CO.
LACROSSE, WIS.
2872-N PAT.NOV.27,'17
______________________________________________________________________
That's about as well as I can describe it here.
Is it of any interest to anyone?
Sincerely, Willard.

What is the correct engine color of a 1924 Dodge engine????? Posted by dbcadmin on: Thursday 23 January @ 06:24:52 |
24dodgeboyer writes"I am looking to find out the correct engine color for my 1924 Dodge. The engine number is A282190. I believe the casting date to be 3/16/24. The chassis number is A209383. What color should the starter/generator be as well as carb, water pump, distributer housing, vacumn pump? I am restoring this Boyer fire truck just as it rolled out of Logansport's factory and want it correct. I have restored many antique cars and fire trucks, and respect the fact Dodges are not at all like Model T's or A's. The parts are harder to find and alot more expensive. I am trying to ask the right questions first before I have to do it twice.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Kevin Piquet
