Lodging suggestions: (Make plans now!) A While there’s a Comfort Inn (610-391-0344, 800-424-6423) fairly close on 100 north of Macungie in Fogelsville (address: 7625 Imperial Way, Allentown 18106), they tend to be very crowded, high $, and in a high traffic area w/ much road construction. A Farther away (about 30 mi) in Kutztown just off 222 is Campus Motor Inn (610-683-8721) at 15080 Kutztown Rd., Kutztown PA 19530 A The best & closest bet is the Macungie VFW at 2387 Lehigh St (610-966-4949). You can stay all week in your tent or motor home for just $25. Altho there are no hook ups or electric, there are bathrooms at VFW hall and you can shower at the pool on the Das Askscht Fescht park grounds across the road. We usually have at least 3 DBC motor homes, so come join us! Lots to do in area if you want to come earlier in the week. A If you need hookups, there’s Kampgrounds of America/Allentown Lehigh Valley north of Macungie on 100 (610-298-2160)
There is tow vehicle and car trailer parking at the Allen Organ Company just off Rte 100. There are 2 locations, most park at the factory off a side street and some at the showroom on 100. I really don’t know which is official. You might call DBC member Dave Semmel (who is also in charge of flea market) at 610-767-4768) for info.
‘Hope to see you August 5, 6, & 7!
I’m leaving June 25 for Jack’s live steam train show in OR, DBC meet in Wash. state, & Frontier Days in WY and then onto Macungie before returning home in Aug. You can reach me via cell at 301-938-5820. My access to e-mail will be limited, but you can try or Maggie Schmidt, DBC VP/Activities Chair.

Car Covers Posted by dbcadmin on: Monday 20 September @ 11:41:15 |
Anonymous writes"This is a nice tip posted on our discussion forum by user JB-Ed.
To save a few bucks get an SUV cover from K-Mart or Wal-Mart. Casually measure up a SUV in some parking lot to see how large a cover to get. A (on sale $29.95) cover for the huge Toyota SUV fits my 1918 touring just fine.

Carb Specs Posted by dbcadmin on: Monday 21 April @ 06:52:19 |
Rich Simpson writes"Hello all, I am looking for the carburetor settings for a 1918 Dodge Brothers touring car a friend has been trying to make run. He came to me because the owner(a friend of his)has sold the car but he took the carburetor apart to replace a leaking float and completely disassembled it. I put it back together but the float level is too high and floods the carburetor. I need to know the setting so I can get the car running before the new owner backs out of the deal. Any and all help would be appreciated.
