Santa Barabra County Sheriff's Department 1927 Dodge Brothers Screen Express
Restoration completed in 1991, restored with donations from the public at large, actual work done by inmates at the Vocational Education departments, Auto Shop, Body Shop, Upholster Shop, Machine Shop, and Wood Shop, with some mechanical work completed at the institution's auto shop of the California Men's Colony, San Luis Obispo.
Deputy II Juan A. Tejeda, Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department was the person responsible for saving this abandoned vehicle and having the vision to see it's restoration. Juan was responsible for obtaining the donations needed for the completion. As total of 3,000 man hours (3 years) were used during the complete, ground up restoration. Photo Courtesy of Juan Tejeda.
