Restoration completed in 1991, restored with donations from the public at large, actual work done by inmates at the Vocational Education departments, Auto Shop, Body Shop, Upholster Shop, Machine Shop, and Wood Shop, with some mechanical work completed at the institution's auto shop of the California Men's Colony, San Luis Obispo.
Deputy II Juan A. Tejeda, Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department was the person responsible for saving this abandoned vehicle and having the vision to see it's restoration.
