I see you are pushing 200 hp out the four. What is the weight of the car? Hope you backed the boost down a bit from last year!

Yes, about 200 HP to the rear wheels. The car weights about 3400# with all of the required safety equipment.

...and yes, we will only be running 4# of boost this year (vs. 10). We got a little greedy (and maybe a bit cocky) last year.

We spent hundreds of hours on the flow bench this winter and improved efficiency by almost 50%. That should equate to comparable HP with less boost.

Maybe I'm wrong, but being the innovators they were (not to mention some animosity towards Henry) I think John and Horace would approve!

Pete, didn't see a pic of the finished intake. Is it done yet that you can post one? How close are you to testing? Do you laser solid head gaskets?

Thanks Pete. BTW, saw your post on AACA about the length of your truck bed. I just saw a '46ish Chevy with a similar bed. It was 100 long. Side panels were maybe 10 gauge with a piece of 3/8 by 1 1/2 welded at the top laying flat for reinforcement.

Doug, it was good to see you again! Hope you had a great time at Bonneville.

Pedro and the rest of the crew, congratulations on the new records! It was nice talking to you guys. Thanks for taking the time to chat and explain things when I know you were very busy and had better things to do than watch me drool!
Hope to see ya next year!

Pete, congratulations on your new record, sorry I didn't see it. I'm not going to get into a debate on this, but the Montana Boys are MAKING history not destroying it. Many people found out just what can be done with a lot of ingenuity and a lot more ability. If I remember right it ran 130 mph, three times faster then stock. It was good to spend time with the Oregon crew too, Dave. hope to see you in Hershey?
