DB headlight rims are notorious for cracking and distorting, so this process is sometimes difficult. You do have to get the rim to push in about 1/4" to clear the retaining "hooks" on the body, and then turn them about 1/8 of a turn, they should then lift forward with the glass lens coming with them. Be careful, as if the lens retaining clips are bad, the lens could fall out and drop. . . .OUCH! When you have the rims replated, all those cracks have to be silver-brazed, and the distortion taken out, it's quite a time-consuming process, but well-worth it afterwards!
