How is the body mounted to the frame? Is the material placed on the frame and the fenders and splash guard mounted on top? I think it is available from Romar. Anyone help?

It was quite universal for all body on frame cars for a few decades to lay down a layer of body webbing on top of the frame rails anywhere the sheet metal would come into contact to avoid squeaks as the frame inevitably flexed on undulating roads. I don't know your '26 exact specifics but that construction was common through the era. Body webbing is available from numerous hobby suppliers in differing widths and materials.

Later cars in most cases got steel stamping mounting points that typically went to rubber donut style mounts. And eventually unit-body or "unibody" construction arrived eliminating a full-length frame.
