Saturday, friends and I went deep into the heart of San Antonio to retrieve a '17 DB winter touring (Rex) car that had not turned a wheel since 1937 when it was parked for lack of tires.
With the moving of building blocks, stones and bricks, a bottle jack and a shovel, help of a come along tied to a tree, use of the 100 foot cable winch of my trailer and pulleys to get the angles needed to coax out the sleeper, we accomplished the task. All the wheels turned. The tires disintegrated with every inch. The motor turns by crank.
It was seventy seven years ago that this car took this position as shown below in the first photo. Second is still on the trailer after arriving at its new home.
