Hello Everybody,
I have been working on a 1926 DB with a 4 cylinder. It has lost oil pressure, the last time I drove it (a year ago), it was great.
Here's what I've done so far: 1. Installed temporary gauge, still no pressure. 2. Removed screen, cleaned and reinstalled. 3. Removed bottom panel on oil pump. Seems as if its perfect. Looks to be in great shape. 4. Removed the ball bearing and spring in the ?check valve?. They looked good, but I don't really know what I'm looking for.
Filled with new 30w Non-D Oil and still no Pressure. You can see the needle shaking a bit, but nothing over a pound or two.
Any ideas???? This car has been in the family since the 60s, and despite some neglect, always runs great.
Thanks in advance, Kent Inglett
