Does anyone know how an original cotter pin would have been installed on a 1925 DB Type B Sedan? I would think that only one leg, possibly the shorter of the two would only be bent over but not sure so trying to get it right.

Thanks!!

:D

Bill, I have not seen factory drawings of DB's, that I remember of, that show this detail. I will look through some literature. What I can say is what I've seen documented for Corvettes in their assembly manuals. They show the long side bent over the end of the bolt and the short end clipped and also show the both ends bent around the diameter of the bolt in opposite directions. For Corvettes either is acceptable. I like dissecting diagrams for this kind of detail, will try to look today. When I look at a restoration of the quality you are doing this kind of thing stands out.

Bill, I went through some manuals and other literature. I can't see anything that definitely shows what you are asking.

OK, will go with bending over only one leg on the pin. Thanks, Bill
