Please could someone let me know the last year that a DB Tourer had a side mounted spare wheel

I'd have to really check but I don't think any 4 cylinder DB had a side mount spare. DA's could in '29. Touring cars ended shortly after that. What are you really asking?

Hi Doug,
I am rebuilding a 1925 DB Tourer and it has a side mount. If they were not produced with a side mount then I would have to modify. If they were produced with a side mount then I will have to get the wheel hold down parts. By the way this is a right hand drive model.
All help would be appreciated.

Richards bodied cars MAY be different from US cars/ How about a picture of the car and closeup of mount?

I have several 4cyl DB's that have owner manufactured side mount spares, usually because they got made into trucks. None of them are original. Doug is right, rear mounted spare tires only on the 14-27 DB 4cyl cars. However, commercial cars, ie Screensides and Panel Deliveries did have the spare mounted on the front drivers side of the bed.
