I have been adding a lead substitute to my 1935 DU 2 door touring door touring sedan but seen it was not required for higher compression engines. Is my car in need of the lead substitute? Are any additives recommended?

Your car doesn't need lead substitute leaded gas wasn't around until the early
50's (then they called it white gas)I own several cars and never put lead
additive in them for over 40 yrs and have never had a problem with the valves
