I have what I believe is a 1919 Dodge. Body Serial number is 329983, the engine number is 381475. The title from the old owner states 1918. I am guessing that the body number is the correct Serial Number, Right? If I look at the chart, it shows the car was made in March of 1919, Correct? Does the Engine number usually match the body Number? Just trying to figure this all out.

When you say body number are you referring to the number stamped into the fire wall? If so, that is the body number, not serial number. The serial number would be stamped on an aluminum plate on the top floor board about where the passenger's feet would be. And it is also stamped on the frame next to the right front spring shackle. The engine number should be approximately 50,000 more then the serial number for the car.

Doug, the 1918 would not have the serial number by the spring. Not until 1923. It is located on the small crossmember on the frame about where the passengers heels would be (front passenger if touring or sedan).
