Does anyone sell an interior kit for a 1929 Dodge DA?

I see no one has answered this yet. I do not know of anyone making interiors for DBs. Which interior does your DA have, there were three different ones.

Good Question. I have several Vintage Dodge trucks I've done full frame off restorations, but I've never done a 29DA before. It was my uncles and made it's way to me after several cousins couldn't keep it up. The car has zero rust, however the interior is shot and the old paint is shot.

It has a velour looking interior. I'd like to go with something like a Bedford Cord like my neighbor has in his 30 madam x Cadillac. Looks real sharp.

Where can I find out what interiors were used?

Thanks for your help

The three would be vinyl, leather, or cloth. Does the car have side mount spares and wire wheels? If so that gets a special brocade stripe across the top of the door panels which are also cloth. I can email pictures, not smart enough to post them here.

Yes, mine has the side wire wheel spares and has the stripe. Was the interior specific to the buyers preference? I wanted to to a different fabric other then velour if that was an option.

I'm also looking for the engine and accessories and trans paint colors.

Thanks for your help

The dual side mount wire wheels make yours a sport sedan, or deluxe sedan. I also have one, a '29. They came with the velour interior only as far as I know, and had the stripe on the door panels. A club member had the velour piece reproduced, not sure if there's any left. There were three sport sedan DA's at last year's Club meet in N.J.

Do you have any idea of the correct engine, engine components, and trans paint colors for a 1929 DA? Thanks for your help

SOME DA's are silver, SOME are blue/green like a four cylinder. Better check with Harry Reding, the DA guru. Did you find any traces of any color? BTW, have I said they never built two DA's the same yet? Headlights, windshield frames, spare tire locks, doors, etc. etc.

Thanks for your help. The engine had a red primer and looks like it was painted battleship gray. The thermostat housing appeared to have a deteriorated light green paint on it.

Do you know how I can tell which 6 is in the car? I hear they used 2 different ones.

I believe the DA only had one engine. Do you have an owner's manual? If not the AACA library stores the DBC literature. I know there is a DA manual there. Call or email and ask for a copy. It can be ordered from the online catalog from the AACA library website.
