hello, everyone!

I have a 1938 dodge brothers d8 two door sedan. I just got it to the point I can drive it now ( had to replace rockers and dog legs on both sides) i'm driving the car and man do I love it! I was trying to put miles on it to see what the issues where going to be... well I found some. the clutch was fine ,so I thought. I went to my first car show in Brunswick Ohio and because I cant take freeway it took some time. it put a lot of pressure on the clutch driving for the entire day. now the clutch is engaging late on the pedal. I have a little shake also. I want to replace the clutch. I've never done this on an old car so I was wondering. can I take this anywhere? or specific to a antique car restoration clutch mechanic?

To replace the clutch is fairly easy - take up the floorboard, remove the driveshaft and transmission. Take off the dust cover and unbolt the pressure plate. Any mechanic should be able to do this. However, you will have to provide the new clutch and pressure plate or get yours rebuilt. Reproduction shop manuals are available.
