Can anybody describe or show a snap for the correct throttle spring mount? A reveal from my recent carb rebuild is that I do not have a correct throttle spring. Mine was a shade tree solution. I see a diagram in Book O' Info p. 69 of a spring somewhat vertical connecting from (I think) the "U" backside of accel pedal to a spring mount on the flywheel cover. I have the spring mount on flywheel cover, but problem is, it is prob'ly 30-40? degrees diagonal from it to the "U" pedal backside; and the "U" doesn't have any spring mount or hole -? Thanks, Texas Jim

Jim, There is a hole in that throttle pedal 'U' and the spring is hooked into where there would be a cotter key.

Rodger I'm afraid not. My pedal backside "U" has no hole anywhere in it.

Jim, There should be a hole. Here is a pic of where it should be. There would be a cotter key through that hole into which the throttle return spring fastens.

Rodger thank you! I found it - wow that is a really small hole. I used a dental pick to find it, it was filled with dust and essentially was invisible. Great photo sir, I really appreciate the effort you went to. Much obliged, Texas Jim
