Kudos to editor Phil on the interesting article in the Mar/Apr 2020 DBClub News on spark plugs - history, varying types used on the DB cars. I've been a little fascinated with the plugs in my '23 Touring, I still consider myself quite the vintage rookie... so the article had me go compare mine to the article recommendation. My car has 2 sizes Edison plug - a pair of S-5 and pair of S-6. All of them are the 5/8" reach. The only difference I can see is the S-5 takes a 15/16" box end for its gland nut, and the S-6 is a colossal 1-1/8" box end for its gland nut. They all are single electrode. Both have printed on the porcelain "Edison, Albanite, made in USA" in 3 rows. I wish I knew how old they are?! The article doesn't mention Edison anywhere, so I dunno if they're oddball? I'm a Texas boy, but am aware there were many Edison products in the northeast US, mid-west too? Jim
