I have a Model GA on my 1922 DB I just found another i want to keep for a spare. From what i can read it looks like it says Model G I then it looks like pat. pending 12Volt NorthEast Elect co Rochester NY. Will this work as a replacement? It came off a 1921 DB
Thanks

Yes, Donald the North East model G is a bit earlier but is functionally, electrically, and mechanically interchangeable for use. Rule of thumb the model G was used on Negative ground system and the GA was used on positive ground systems. That having been said, the unit will reorient the field polarity the first time you step on the starter switch so no problem. Your '22 is in a transition period in the switch from G to GA. So aesthetically either will look correct to most. Rodger "Dodger"

Thanks Roger, I'm going to have this rebuilt for a spare. This 1922 I have belonged to Ben B. a DB club member from Connecticut who passed away this year.
Thanks Don
