I have some additional questions regarding the 1915 Dodge Touring.

What size( diameter) demountable split rim is correct for the '15 ?? Some of these demountable rims are on Ebay.

What is considered the size of the wood wheels ? Is it 25 inch ?

What is the size tire for the'15 Is it 33x4 ?

The front wheels on my Dodge have split rim demountable, the rear has a one piece solid demountable. Is this original or can I use sold demountable rims on all 4 wheels ??

Thanks in advance for any help,
Brad

Hi Brad,

My understanding is the rim size is 25" which takes an original tire size of 32" x 3 1/2". The car would have had this same rim and tire on the front and rear.

I hope this helps & congrats on the new acquisition. I saw that Dodge offered and am glad you picked it up to restore it.

Best of luck!

Dale

Dale,

Thanks for the information. Now I can start looking for the proper size good demountable rim. I did purchase a split rim tire mounting tool and found a video on you tube on how to use it !! Should be a learning experience !!

Be aware that there were at least two different wheel suppliers, and the rims must match the felloe rim. On one wheel, there are "bumps" on the fellow rim to space the demountable rim, there is also a different locator to keep the rim from turning. On the other, the bumps are on the demountable rim, and it has a different locator. Don't have mine nearby, nor any notes to help you further!
