I am new to this forum and am looking for information on a 1924 DB. I am looking at refurbishing the mirror and wiper while collecting other parts required.
Does anybody have a pictures of the original mirror and wiper? Length of the mirror glass? Contact details for any supplier of the wiper blade? Any information is much appreciated.
Regards
Mark

I think it was built as a Touring but was turned into a duckboard (ute) and spent its life on farms. It was set up as a belt drive for the 10 years prior to sitting in a shed for over 30 years. It is an Australian build DB.

OK, that helps. As far as I know, open cars did not have mirrors from new. Many aftermarket windshield post mirrors are available new that clamp on. That's all I've seen. I'm not positive about wipers but I don't think tourings had them either. My '24 coupe has a manual wiper. About '25 they went to vacuum in closed cars.

Thanks Doug, the wiper is a manual wiper. Its just an arm on the inside turns the arm on the outside. The mirror might be aftermarket as it clamps on the center of the window at the top. I am trying to add photos but they will not load. I was told the car was a Touring and turned into a ute later for farm use. Could you post pictures of your wiper please?
