| Post subject: | 1928 Fargo panel truck |
For the past few weeks I have contemplated buying a derelict 1928 Fargo Panel Truck, being advertised as a “Canadian Chrysler”. My research on the truck turns up very little in regards to buying repair manuals, parts lists or tune up specifications. I have ascertained that the truck probably was manufactured in Canada and badged as a “Fargo” because Dodge Brothers had been bought out by Chrysler Corporarion, and had signed a agreement not to manufacture trucks for seven years. It appears that the truck may have been built by DeSoto and used plans for the Dodge “Packet” panel truck, but I can’t find any information to prove or disprove this. Regardless, are there any DB Club members who are/have any experience on restoration of a 1928/1929 Fargo, Dodge Brothers or Chrysler panel truck who may provide me a bit of information on buying reference material and/or parts for this truck. |
